Enjoy a Bath Ale, some good local food, and a friendly welcome as you cosy up in The Salamander, one of Bath’s oldest traditional English pubs. This little gem is set over two floors, with a well stocked bar area accessed from the main entrance and further seating available upstairs. The bar staff are only too happy to make recommendations and offer a range of regional specialities including Somerset ciders and Cornish spirits. When it comes to food you have plenty of choice here, whether you’re in the mood for a light lunch, gourmet three course dinner, Sunday roast, or a traditional pub meal. The Salamander has plenty of choice, as well as some more unusual dishes you won’t find elsewhere. Local produce is sourced using seasonal ingredients to keep the frequently changing menus fresh and varied. The Salamander’s interior design blends contemporary style with classic features, echoing the Georgian style of its city centre location. Whether your visit involves dining or simply a few drinks, you’ll find it a warm and charming place to while away some hours.

My Wife and I ate here one rainy evening when visiting Bath. The pub was warm and welcoming and packed. We had a few drinks and then had two toad in the holes with veg. They were delicious and filling. Very well priced. We had a lovely time. We will return.
